Giant freshwater stingray caught from the Maeklong River in Thailand by the fishsiam team.The fish was caught whilst on an exploratory trip to gather scientific data concerning this highly obscure predatory species.The fish was identified as being a small male and was estimated to weigh 60kg+.The fish was safely returned after a short examination by National geographic society explorer Dr.Zeb Hogan.This was the second fish caught in the same day from the infamous Area 51 section of the tidal river near Samut Songkran.
